Service introduction
Blow-dry appointments are for movement, smoothness or volume that you may not have time to create at home. They work best when the hair already has a decent outline. If the cut has grown past the point where a dryer can help, we will say so and suggest combining with a trim rather than promising a style the length cannot hold.
The finish can be understated — a clean, straight wrap — or more dressed, with bend through the ends. You choose how much hold you want to walk out with. Heavy, helmet-like setting is not the default.
What the appointment involves
Hair is washed unless you have been asked to arrive with it damp from home. A heat protectant or light primer may be used if it suits the fibre. Sections are dried with a nozzle and brush appropriate to the length: typically a round brush for lift, a paddle for smoothness. Short hair may be dressed with a smaller brush or fingers. Once dry, a brief cool shot or a light mist can settle the shape. You will see the result in the mirror before any final spray.
Preparation guidance
Tell us if you are going on to an event, a photograph, or a windy walk home — those details change product choice. If your scalp is comfortable with a firmer tension, mention it; if it is not, we keep the brush work gentler. Arrive a few minutes early so washing does not eat into styling time. Avoid arriving with heavy dry shampoo compacted at the root if you want a smooth result, unless that lived-in texture is the goal.
What visitors can expect
Expect a relatively short visit compared with colour. You remain in the styling chair after the basin. The conversation is about direction of the hair, not a full redesign. You can ask for less volume at the crown, more swing at the front, or a centre versus side part. Humidity in Sachsen varies with the season; we will be straightforward about how long a set is likely to look freshly done in damp weather.
Suitable situations
- A polished everyday appearance before meetings or travel
- The day of a lunch, dinner or family gathering
- A reset between cuts when hair feels unstructured
- A finish after a treatment when you want to leave fully styled
Aftercare considerations
Sleeping on a silk or smooth pillowcase can reduce friction, as can loosely tying hair if you need the shape the next morning. Rain and hats will change any blow-dry; that is normal. Do not add more heat the same evening unless you need to. If you loved a particular wrap, ask the stylist which brush size they used so you can attempt a simpler version at home.
